TOC Genius Free and Pro process article headings on your own WordPress site.

Plugin data

The plugins store appearance and placement settings in your WordPress database. Per-post overrides store your placement choice, excluded heading targets, and custom TOC labels. Pro stores rules, templates, assignments, navigation preferences, a last-import template backup, and complete-configuration preview/backup data. Configuration previews are tied to the creating administrator and expire after 15 minutes; the stored snapshot remains until replaced, consumed by import, or removed through opt-in cleanup. The last complete-import backup supports guarded Undo.

External communication

These version 0.2.0 packages do not make external service requests, collect telemetry, validate licenses remotely, or load third-party scripts and styles. WordPress and your hosting environment continue their own normal operations.

Data retention

Deactivation keeps data. Uninstall keeps data unless you explicitly enable cleanup in the Free plugin’s settings. On multisite, this is evaluated separately for each site. Free uninstall with cleanup enabled also removes its known Pro add-on settings.

This website

The site includes no analytics script, advertising tracker, mailing-list form, checkout, or TOC Genius account flow. Its demo uses sample data in page memory. Reloading resets it. Downloads are static ZIP files.

The hosting platform may use its own access controls and operational logs. This site does not define or change that platform’s privacy policy.

Future services

If TOC Genius adds checkout, support accounts, licensing, or other online services, their data use and terms will need to be documented before those services launch. Those services are not active here.
