Release notes / Version 0.1.0

The first working
TOC Genius release.

Two installable plugins: a complete Free core and a separate Pro add-on. This is a beta for staging evaluation.

Validation

62 WordPress checks passed on each of two environments: WordPress 7.1.3 / PHP 8.3.33 and WordPress 6.5.13 / PHP 7.4.33. They cover Free and Pro output, native settings saves, permissions, nonces, imports, and uninstall behavior.

Plugin Check 2.1.0 ran all 29 default static check groups for each plugin: zero errors in both, zero warnings in Pro, and one Free warning for the owner’s unfilled WordPress.org contributor username. Runtime Plugin Check preparation was unavailable in this isolated SQLite environment and remains a staging task.

Twelve JavaScript interaction checks passed using shipped scripts and WordPress-generated markup in jsdom with controlled geometry. All six website pages passed structure, local-link/download, and script-syntax checks. No real-browser visual review has been performed. Full results and repeatable checks are in the source bundle.

Automated checks are evidence for this beta, not WordPress.org approval or a guarantee of every theme and plugin combination. Broad browser, page-builder, translation, and multisite checks remain release work.

Outside this release

WordPress.org preparation

The Free package has a GPL-compatible license, bundled readable source, local assets, capability and nonce checks, sanitization, output escaping, and no premium implementation locked by payment. Pro is distributed separately.

Before submission, add the owner’s actual WordPress.org contributor username, publish the project’s support and security contact details, check the final live URLs and slug availability, and run the final release checks in a normal WordPress staging environment. The WordPress Plugins Team decides acceptance.
